Insomnia after a stroke

My partner had a stroke 4 months ago and he has trouble sleeping at night and is very agitated. We have tried a number of medications but they work for a while and then nothing.

Any suggestions

I started a meditation program and if I meditate before bedtime, I sleep well. Also, do not drink alcohol at night if you do now. Alcohol interrupts sleep patterns. Good luck!
