Well all strokes are different so the outcomes will all be different, as will how long it takes to reach those outcomes.

Mine has been quite a quick recover physically. Apart from fibro and pain. The emotional scars are taking longer.

The mental part of the stroke is the worst for me,bereavement made it a million times worse as now i am living alone, relieves a little by laying down for a while.Think side effects of tablets are having an effect. (clopidogrel).is one.

Always advised to read the pamphlets that come with tablets,but when you do,you think the side effects are happening to you.mentally??.

I just got taken off clopidogrel for a month's trial, 75mg aspirin instead. I can't separate the after effects of the stroke and the side effects of the clopidigrel, except on aspirin I'm still feeling unbalanced and still feeling sick. So it points to after effects. The depression and anxiety is separate from drugs effects I think, for me anyway. That was part of my life before anyway, it's just gone down a notch or seven.
