Getting PD surgery soon and would love some advice!!

Good Afternoon everyone this is my second go at dialysis after having a transplant for 15 years fail :( positive thing is how long the transplant lasted so I cant complain. Anyways I started HD again for the past 2 years and now Im giving PD dialysis a chance and will have surgery on the 27th of January, they are doing home inspection on the 18th can anyone give me advice as to what I need to set up besides space for boxes and Shelving space?? Also I have a cat hes 11 years old I was told that I can keep him BUT when I set up he must not be in the room. I would appreciate any advice thanks!!!
