Why don't we have a bypass system from the smaller intestines to the rectum so that we all can enjoy the sweetness of sweets.

This will give a psychological boost to all of us and reduce the pressure of being a diabetic. If a control valve is necessary to intervene during the process of digestion, we can assist any doctor who understands this process. In case, the food has to be by passed immediately after passing through the throat section, then it will be much easier to do so. I came to know that the conversion to glucose takes place in the smaller intestine, hence I suggested the above. When one can have a pace maker/ heart bypass surgery etc, why not we have this system. OR The moment the blood sugar level crosses the limit, the bypass valve should operate and send it to the waste (end of digestive system). I am an engineer and not a doctor. But I used to discuss with my physician, and he has discouraged me vehemently. Any suggestions on the above??

Having bypass is more bitter than absence of sweetness of sweet because GIT is not a simple pipe and length of GIT you r thinking to add as a bypass is approx.7 meter!! Where u put this extra material in well organized body?

Hi Vellam

Thanks for your alternate thinking, its not joking topics in modern science so many thing are happening and why not this be possible, but as human design created at god't factory so changing approval to be taken from god only, human are doing partially to the human being.

My opinion sweet is not so much harmfull for diabetic if with proper medication it is taken in limited quantity.

If any one interested to take sweet can take at home and drink light hot water at least 3 glass 600ml

slowly. and sweet not in daily ruitine only weekly or better fortnightly. no need to take sugarfree made sweet.

Sweets are made in liquid sugar are best compare ghee suits or dry sweets.

If ony one goes to kolkata will see how frequent peoples are eating sweet and even they takes rice(double boiled) 3 times a day, and compare no of diabeticness to other reason, Ghee+Oil+sugar+Reday made spices are the main cause to increase chance of diabetes. Now I am at 46 last 2 year i am having sugar, initially it was 220-325 now 140-170 and hope gradually it will reduce to normal as i have changed my life style.

Thanks

Dear Mr. Basudev,

Thanks for your reply. Let me first inform you that the topic which started was not a JOKE, but I am starting a discussion on the possibilities of having a bypass. People may consume sweets and ghee, but it depends upon the individual's capacity and their gene. I cannot compare with my physic with others. You may not know that my blood sugar level varies quite drastically from 150 by consuming one chapathi of normal size to 235 if I consume two chapathis. I tried various combinations using rice, oats, wheat, etc and now I am taking only 5 tea spoons of sprouts of green gram for lunch. I spent 2 full years in Japan where I used to cook my own food. At that time my sugar level was quite normal and the 3 month's average sugar level was at 6.4%.

It depends upon your life style, your living condition, Pollution levels, your work load, the stress you are into and finally the type of food you consume. Therefore, my humble opinion is that we cannot compare ourselves one to one and diabetic impact varies from person to person.

It is very difficult to find a person who has stopped medication completely because of change of food habits or life style rather the person might have increased the dose of medicines as he gets older.

May be there are some exceptions to my observation.

Kind Regards,

Superb idea. But you wont relish unless you gulp it. I am not for sweets alone. The diabetics are prohibited/ restricted from consuming carbos such as rice, wheat etc.,

That is why I suggested this method. Mr. Jeyendra Choudhury has mentioned that the GIT is >7 meters of length. I don't suggest that we should bypass the complete system. I only suggested to the diabetologists to think over this idea. I am sure that one day some one will come out successfully with this idea and it is going to a boon to all.

even while chewing the sugar will get absorbed in the system through tongue and gums. you can test with glucometer , before and after chewing.
