Is there anyone who has direct information about the recently introduced surgical solution for some types of Diabetes? Does it bring a permanent cure to the situation?

It doesnt give a permanent cure. You might end up with stomach cancer too.It reduces weight, and the weight loss might reduce the sugar level.Once the weight loss is completed, sugar will come back.

Thanks for your immediate response. But I am specific about 'Pancreatic Islet Transplantation' for the control of blood glucose level. Plz respond only if you have authentic information on the subject.

No, there is no surgical solution for diabetes. But a day might come when the transplant of the pancreas will become possible for every diabetic.

there is much confusion regarding the cause of diabetes.diabetes is an endpoint in the abnormal hormonal balance cascade regulating metabolism. so transplant of pancreas is a temporary relief, but diabetes will come back.

Pancreas transplantation is done along with kidney transplantation in type 1 diabetic patients.

If the transplant is successful, you will no longer need to take insulin shots, test your blood-sugar daily, or follow a diabetes diet.

There is evidence that the complications of diabetes, such as diabetic retinopathy, may not get worse -- and may even improve -- after a pancreas-kidney transplant.

More than 95% of people survive the first year after a pancreas transplant. The risks for organ rejection are about 1% each year.

You must take drugs that prevent rejection of the donated pancreas and kidney for the rest of your life.

The quality of life after a pancreas transplant has improved. Almost all patients find that managing daily life is a lot easier and more satisfying.
