Yes.Every diabetic can and must make other diabetics about the dangers of not controlling sugar/glucose levels and what diet and exercises are to be followed.

It is very important in the Indian society where the patient his family and friends are taking diabetes very casually and often force the patient to eat what he/she does not have to and persuade the patient to refrain from exercise .

The number of marriages, birthday parties, weekend gatherings, religious functions and to an extent rituals after death have gone up multi fold and every time the food prepared for serving

is dangerous for diabetics.I appeal to all diabetics to spread awareness about diabetes and all non diabetics also to spread awareness about not forcing diabetics to eat at functions.

yes. There should be awareness amongst the people and it should be made compulsary or say tradition to prepare blue dot food for us like we find jain food everywhere

Diabetes India, healthunlocked is doing tremendous job in a big way in creating awareness as well as educating about diabetes.

You can do it in your own locality.

I do in my own way . In every gathering,eg marriage functions, birth day parties, anniversary celebrations or even school friends gatherings I talk diabetes. Even during walks I talk diabetes.

Also, it is not talking, but what one talks.

Even my neighbour is a sales manager of a food company and keeps talking about diabetes and health during all meetings.

His solution is to eat "halthy" stuff like corn flakes, digestive biscuits, marie, fruit juice, and oats very few hours all of which he insists that it is his company which is the best in providing such "halthy" foods for diabetics.

Pushing more poisons. How can Marie biscuits with Refined wheat & Sugar be good..? Better to take some peanuts

Fruit juice is again a poison for us by stripping away the fibre.. This person is just selling his stuff

True.

My dog has got this disease because the foolish trainer kept insisting to feed him some costly dog-mix food which was a diet loaded with carbohydrates which the trainer used to sell. Due to this, the dog has become lethargic. Add to that, the trainer keeps selling the same high carb food to all owners and has a great reputation in the domain of dog trainers. Just because he is an ex administrative officer from the forces, he throws his weight around as some master on this subject.

Now all dog-lovers are very attached to their dogs. In every gathering such as marriage functions, birthday parties, celebrations or even community gatherings, they talk about the same subject. Most dogs above 4-5 years are facing this problem.

Moral of the story is that one must be beware of talkers and sellers who talk their way into selling disease whether it is to humans or humans who own dogs.

Dogs primarily need the proteins with the fats which comes attached to it

They are not used to grains and we try and change their natural habits.

Though it is immaterial, do the funds come from you or it is company funded ? I am sorry if I am impolite.

And no company would pay you individually. They want to sell their products. And ironically if you improve the health of the people how would they increase their sales. Yes if there is any company which sells lchf or low gi vegan food it can give you some funds 🙊🙊

yes and no.

Yes for only those who understand the disorder correctly and deeply, has open mind to learn.

No for those who have no concept of D. The people have bizzare ideas about D. "Ek goli jyada kha lena " " thoda jyada insulin le lena " " xyz has 400 sugar but wo aap ki tarah darta nhi hai. Sab kuchh kha leta hai " and last but not least " doctor to bolte rhete hai.... Big no for them.

And a word for caution to all those who have reversed their D. Never think you are cured. Don't let your dietary habits let loose. Any cheating will impair your control. Also review your D periodically may be less frequently because may god forbid but your beta cells may fail further as per the script written for them. And please never think that beta cells fail because of stress and strain they have to undergo. This is my understanding and the truth until proved otherwise.

and people do not react favourably always. After some time they will start avoiding you and making mockery of you.

By the way even healthy non D people should reduce their carb intake and high gi food. Perhaps they can take a little more carbs than us but strictly low gi and low gl food.

It's not at all easy. Even in our own house.
