.........six research papers confirm in exhaustive detail many of the benefits of Shilajit through laboratory testing. Together, in support of their findings, the papers reference and cite well over 100 different published resources that span over four decades of research into the effectiveness of Shilajit. Hopefully, after reviewing these documents, you can feel confident that the answer to the question: Does Shilajit work? Is a resounding yes......
.......“The results obtained till now are sufficiently impressive to warrant expectation that more extensive and comprehensive studies on shilajit and its constituents would validate the Ayurvedic rasayan, shilajit, as more effective than several currently available clinically efficacious immunomodulators.”
“The importance of shilajit in energy synthesis (ATP) has been highlighted along with the claim that it is a potent … antioxidant.”
'...shilajit, as more effective than several currently available clinically efficacious immunomodulators'.”
Went through the papers, list needs to tack on 'anti AIDS', and I'm sure AIDS charities would be interested, however, were I to contract the disease my first go to would be the retroviral regime that allow patients to live a natural lifespan.
Can't see the trials on Anti-diabetes though.
But maybe if the findings were offered to international scrutiny we might get somewhere.
But like I've said in the past - you pays your money and takes your chances!

Tell me mike how many international organizations are interested in DIET which you are promoting??? The diet and advice which you advocate is against the standard protocol which medical community is currently following.
Does that makes what you advocate is false??
were I to contract the disease my first go to would be the retroviral regime that allow patients to live a natural lifespan.
Most of diabetics do the same....opt for victoza..istamet....and doctors advise them as per standard protocol....which is against what you are preaching....does that makes what you advocate false???
But maybe if the findings were offered to international scrutiny we might get somewhere.
Is the diet which you advocate is under scrutiny of International community??? Further these papers are submitted to various Universities...do you think those universities are useless???
In india...shilajit is prescribed to diabetics since long according to ayurveda....ayurveda couldnt find sound financial support to back its efficacy. Ayurveda is much more evolved and mature than you can think... Mike...even following diet you are advocating ...we are taking chances...dont you think so ??Zist is ...we are following as there is no way out ...so for Ayurveda ...no way out apart from following Ayurveda...
So make sure of shilajit purity and dont use for long time , as if not pure some heavy metals in form of toxins get accumulated in body
You can have a talk with some experimenced Ayurveda vaidya about purity(or test some ways to test the purity) and side effects of Shilajeet ...there are some old Vaidya who are practicing since long and must be aware of issues
Shilajit may also adversely affect diabetics for the same reason. A diabetic with low blood sugar levels may feel faint, weak, or unbalanced due to the effects of shilajit in the system.
Does this means shilajeet works....
Further....I am not under impression that shilajeet is some amrut buti...that I will get cured...
For me shilajeet got some antioxidant properties...it will work good with coq10...at moment I am taking shilajeet with coq10 and e vitamin .
I am taking patanjalee shilajeet....and I guess at present that is the most trusted brand in Indian markets....
You sent me the clip about patanjalee process for purification....Now baba ramdev knows more....but here...process of purification of shilajeet given in Ayurveda is different.
Since the raw material is procured from high mountain ranges....probability of contamination with toxic metals is very less...we are always exposed to more toxic things every day in life.....
It is said sheelajeet increases uric acid level in blood....so patients with high uric acid should not take same.
Of course if you have any other problems....you must consult good vaidya before taking any over the counter medicines...
By grace of god....and with good wishes from friends like you.....I got just blood pressure...and this diabetes
By the way.....it is said shilajeet is aphrodisiac....I don't believe in this....
There is a special chapter in Ayurveda about Vajikaran....but as I know all herbs and medicines mentioned there works on well being of person....If your all systems are working fine...and tuned...that system will also work fine...that is the logic i guess...
What I am expecting is some sort of tonic to my beta cells. Will it convert to increase in fasting sugar????
I am an Indian too and as a sufferer of type 2 for diabetic there is no drug that I have not tried and no medicines that I have experimented with. Just the way there are scams in allopathy even Ayurveda has gone worst in its scams. Unfortunately I have not found a single proper remedial measures in Ayurveda that directly affects the blood glucose levels . Expensive panchakarma therapies are prescribed and it has no effect. It can be used as complimentary science but relying only on Ayurveda in long term one has to be careful . Diet hard and exercise hard.
