Jan, have you ever read anything on the statistics of women on statins? Dr. Malcolm Kendrick has some pretty trenchant views.

"...the protection provided by statins is so small as to be not worth bothering about for most men and all women."

It might be worth your while to start doing some research, and at the very least you will be better informed.
