There are two different types of arthritis,osteo arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.The latter type is an auto immune disease and you will need expert treatment.Osteoarthritis pain can be controlled/managed by physio therapy,pain relief creams/oils and hot fomentation.Taking oral medicine for pain relief is not recommended because in the long run it may lead to severe side effects.In effect, you have to live with it.If it is too severe,doctors recommend knee replacement surgery etc.But I would recommend you reduce weight even slightly by about 4 to 5 kg and see if you get relief.I got relief from left knee joint pain when I reduced my weight by about 5 kg.
