medfree and plus: hundred grams carb per day could be too hard. On a 2,200 calorie requirement (my daily intake) I am progressing to reduce blood sugar with 200 grams carbohydrates because earlier my carb intake averaged 500 grams.

Sure you can have two marie biscuits in the midday snack and two in the evening tea as per my doctor.

I second medfree in saying No No to all manufactured biscuits because they use palm oil and /or hydrogenated oil plus other chemicals!

medfree, Yes, I agree. However, a part of what I take is complex carbs. Even Indian Chapati is 3 parts of barley flour added to 7 parts of whole wheat flour etc...

Peanut Butter is good too provided it is made at home and fresh. Most of the top global brands have a heavy load of palm or hydrogenated oil! (Whilst making peanut butter please do not use coconut oil)

Marie biscuits will only raise your BS. They contain maida even if it is made of wheat floor. And it also contains sugar. None of the bakery products are healthy, not only diabetics but everyone should avoid it. The combination floor chapati doesn't make much difference as you only replace carbs. I have tried myself.

Ragi is itself very hi in carb. So it can't be diabetic friendly.

medfree Should I forget about glycemic index and glycemic load altogether?

Doctors are not going to tell you anything about carbs. Ragi is high carb grain mostly more than 70% carbs. 3 biscuits means you are eating nearly 17gm carbs.
