It's called bariatric surgery. In which, they will reduce tge length of your intestine effectively, reducing your food intake. Results vary. Some are successful and some are not.

No , it is not bariatic surgery. It is a non invasive procedure .

But I suppose both are same. They tie up your intestine. That's why it's known as endo barrier. It's definately invasive surgery

EndoBarrier is an investigational, non-surgical medical device designed to decrease blood sugar and body weight. EndoBarrier is a thin, flexible, tube-shaped liner that forms a physical barrier between the food you eat and a portion of the intestinal wall. It is designed to change the way the body responds to food, by altering the release of natural chemicals called hormones. This may help reduce appetite and improve the body’s ability to control blood sugar.

EndoBarrier is placed without incisions using a thin flexible tube called an endoscope. To place EndoBarrier, the endoscope is passed through the mouth and into the stomach. The EndoBarrier device is then precisely placed at the beginning of the small intestine. The EndoBarrier procedure is reversible and does not alter the body’s natural anatomy. EndoBarrier is designed to stay in place for one year to help you manage your blood sugar and body weight, and is then removed without incisions using an endoscope.

This treatment is not approved in the US and comes with many heath riders, where it is approved. I would rather walk and move on with LHF diet.

Without disagreeing with you, this post was to create an awareness that there exists a form of treatment which is new and is at present available only at select places for those dm2 and obese who despite all efforts to control their ailment,be it diet, exercise and all sorts of medication, has failed, and are feeling hopeless, frustrated and depressed. For them it is light at the end of tunnel and this therapy has shown promising results.

I am not advocating or any thing, and just as I said creating awareness. This forum meant to be just that is it not?
