Doctors say it's Diet, Exercise, Medicine in that order to control Diabetes. So, to answer your question, if it's early stage, proper diet (low calorie food/beverage, citrus fruits esp pomello, grapefruit, cranberry, apricot, blackberry, cumin powder in water, sugar free diets, avoiding junk food) and regular exercise (4-5 Km walk in the morning, 2 Km walk after dinner, a check on the weight) can keep things under control. Take care to have the Blood Hb1AC below 6.5.

Theoretically it may be possible but do not rule out medication.Monitor regularly and if you cannot control the sugar level by diet control,exercise and stress free life style,do consult a doctor and follow his advise.

I also agree with medfree , I have stopped medication since last 20 days( 1 tablet Amaryl 1mg) after LCHF diet and exercise . Earlier with medication Fasting 103 ,PP 148

Now with strict diet and Exercise it is FS 121 PP 162 Not much difference but I am feeling fine.

So once you have control then gradually medication can be stopped ,but with strict control ,walking and regular exercise
