how many calories required for type 2 Diabetes patient since last 15 year ?
Why to worry so much about calories & all? Why not you follow the Long-wheat diet & get cured of diabetes once for all in a matter of 3-4 years?

The text below is a "COPY&PASTE STUFF" from my previous replies to some others.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT, KINDLY IGNORE THIS.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.
A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it.
TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO TEMPORARILY TILL CURE.
While following the Long-wheat diet explained in the article referred below, non-vegetarians can have MEAT/FISH/EGG in moderate quantities as side-dishes/curries.
I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.
Do you want to see my experience and blood sugar history from 2006 to 2013? Those are reported at: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... If you want only MODUS OPERANDI, GO TO appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...

ASK ME MORE>
You have indicated your height only & not your weight. Assuming your BMI within normal limits your weight could be in the range of 75 to 78 KG. Further assuming that you have lightly active lifestyle, meaning some level of exercise or sports at least 3 times a week your daily calorie requirements could be between 2250 to 2350. However your basal metabolic requirements could be just about 1700-1800 calories. So if you are not burning 500 calories daily through physical activities, you would gain a KG a month!!! More fat & weight means more trouble in diabetes management by insulin resistance. Your food should come as 35% carb, 35% protein and 30% fat. But do consult a dietician & a doctor at a good hospital. Your well wisher.
For a 2200 kcal diet and 35 % by carbs, would come to about 190 gms of carbs/day.
NO WAY, I beg to differ.
I am very thankful to for good suggestions.
