A friend of mine has gone for gastric bypass surgery, which lead to his weight loss as well. check with a doctor. he stopped taking insulin immediately after the operation.

No one knows how?... It is unbelievable but it true....!!!

There are many such incidences reported in Sweden. People who have gone for gastric bypass surgery for their weight loss problems became non-diabetic after the surgery.

No if you are identified as type 1. Buy for type 2, it may be replaced with medicines only after turning normal, depending upon your managed sugar levels.

That patient outside India who is diabetic for more than 10 years & was taking 99 units of insulin daily ( Ins 27.0 - Ins 37.0 - Ins 35.0, Ins= Insulin Novomix) in addition to Metformin 850-0-850, on switching to GEM Diet reduced insulin by more than 35 % in a matter of four weeks!!! See his own words:

"My insulin as at Apr 18 was reduced by 42.4%. As of today May 12, the overall reduction is 53.5% I have another week to complete to make it 2 months since starting this diet!"

In fact the patient mentioned in earlier part of my reply is diabetic from 1991 - that is more than 22 years! At the end of 11 weeks (02 Jun 2013) overall reduction of insulin is 68.7%.

Mr. Rajeev, I think, u r telling more without knowing nothing. My purpose is not to sell anything here to you or others. I am just trying to share an information to all for best solution regarding Diabetes.You never get anything in free of cost in this world. Try to understand first before commenting.
