It could be due to diabetic peripheral neuropathy. In this condition,a diabetic loses sensation in the feet because the blood capillariesat extremities shrivel away due to non availability of glucose. And the nerve cells that are supplied with energy by those blood vessels also get damaged and therefore one cannot feel any sensation or pain.It is a matter of great concern for you because you may injure your foot and not feel any pain. The wound does not heal properly because there is no blood supply there.Remedy is to first control the blood sugar levels.Consult a good diabetologist and follow his prescriptions. You should also get checked for kidney function and liver function.Your eyes also need examination
