its a month since I found out be diabetic. But I don't know whether it is type 1 or 2.

The symptoms were thirst all the time and urinating frequently. When I consulted a Doctor and was checked in the lab, I found out to be diabetic. And at that moment it was 33mg/dl. I got frightened, I thought would die any time. But today it has dropped to 8mg/dl. On Metformin. Will this medication work for me or I get on insulin because the Dr. was suggesting it.

33? OMG. Get a Glucometer. Have nice breakfast of wholegrains, egg, tea, fruits. Dont over hog. after 2 and half hours test yr sugar level. Lunch hv mostly chicken(no chips or rice) and greenies and fruits. Tea with wholegrain toast will do. Night have whatever you like but in portion, and avoid biscuits cakes etc No sugar. There should not be any sugar in your tea, coffee. Sleep tight and first thing in morning test your sugar lever to ponder what food agrees or disagrees with your body. I personally take gluconorm 3mg before food and 850/500 Metformin after each meal. Good luck

Walk a lot which kills sugar level.
