refused ozempic because I’m doing too well through diet

As you can see from the title, I was refused ozempic ( or equivalent)

I have managed to reduce my glucose levels from being in the 20’s mmol/L to being in the 10’s

But now I seem to have stopped it dropping any further, I also have a very fatty non alcoholic liver, I’ve being doing keto, but have plateaued.

so I thought I would ask about ozempic, I’m type 2 diabetes, have fatty liver and always have high blood pressure, not only that I have endometriosis which isn’t helped by weight. the nurse weighed me and said I qualify and even printed out the prescription, went to get it sighed by doctor, but came back saying gp said I had done so well, she didn’t think I need it, but as I said before. It will just not come down any lower.

I’m not happy, does anybody have any words of wisdom that could help my disappointment?

hello reading your post is very similar to myself. I have had 2 heart attacks and 2 stents. Just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and this week liver blood tests came back abnormal. I will find out more about that when I see go next week.

I have friends on weight loss injections and are doing really well. It is an option. I have considered but didn’t know due to health would I be eligible. I am going to ask at gp appointment. I just feel my health is really suffering and all of this on top of menopause.

I hope you get your prescription sorted. The dr has obviously said to the nurse something that she has then declined medication probably coast!!

Take care and good luck

BTW Ozempic is no wonder drug!☝️

Heavily marketed and hyped!☝️

Full of adverse side effects!☝️
