I have had type 2 Diabetes since 2003, and must confess to not caring about my body and Diabetes…. Caring about your feet is most important, I didn’t, and now have no feeling in both feet, in 2007, it caused Erectile Disfunction, it rained my marriage….
I’m 81 now, and my Diabetes is now under control, all be it too late, so please try to control your Diabetes, follow advice from your Diabetes Nurse…. It will be for your own well being.
In spite of my post, try to have a nice day, take care and stay safe.

You have no feeling in your feet, but you have your feet and every part of them! You have looked after them well enough and I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and am not diabetic. My partner (Type 1 /D) has had both his great toes amputated, and this was due to not having feeling in his feet and having little wounds as a result, and these little wounds became more serious. He always visited a podiatrist regularly. I don't know what you could have done to prevent this; it just happens.
hello I also have peripheral feet and I’m very aware of looking after them. I do not have diabetes but my husband does. It’s so very easy to forget how very important they are
It’s quite easy to forget any small cut or sore place on the feet.
