As a retired ortho Physical Therapist, I would think there are 3 basic types.
First is pain from dystonias which is hyperactive muscle tension pulling persistently. This is PD pain. The second is central thalamic pain which is a consequence of dopamine depletion in the brain sending pain signals within... PD pain again.
The third is probably common arthritic and injury sources that everyone has overtime. Throw in our limited mobility and it accelerates in impact.
I think you've nailed it. i've discovered after trial and error, that when I have pain, I medicate (sinemet) even if it's too early, then I eat a snack and then I take the ibuprofen or acetaminophen if still in pain. Sometimes I have to go for a walk and sometimes I have to take a nap. Pain is taking over my life. One thing I learned: xanax does not help me. Thanks!
My pain is usually tightness in my legs and neck. THE worst is when I get dystonia (cramping of my toes and legs). If you have a good neurologist adjusting medications can help. WHen it happens I usually lay on the hard floor and do breathing exercises and wait for my meds to kick in. GOod Luck!
Where is my pain? knees -- following torn meniscus in both, now i have bursitis. Left lower ab relating to IBS-C type condition. Anybody NOT constipated with PD? Sometimes it hurts when I have to go, and sometimes after Inner thigh tendonitis which was my first symptom of PD.
See a chiropractor to realign your spine. My husband also had an epidural injected into the axis of the spine by his neurologist which eliminated his agonizing shoulder pain (one shot was sufficient to eliminate the pain). Visits to the chiropractor are as needed depending on strenuous activity and over exercising.
