Looking for Help................

I have been asked, by our local PD support group (So. Cal.,USA) to assist one of our local high school seniors with a Biology/English project. Her subject is Parkinson's Disease. In preparation for an interview, "Cynthia" sent me a list of 10 questions which will be asked. The questions are excellent, but they point out my unsuitability to represent PWP in an interview. My PD is "late onset", diagnosed two years ago, and has not yet progressed to the point where it is debilitating. My answers to questions such as, "What is it like to live with PD?" and "How has your life changed as a result of your diagnosis?" would not give a true picture of what PD does to its younger victims. I have discussed the problem with the project leader who states that she can adapt the program format to include additional information.

If anyone, from anywhere, preferably an "Early Onset", would be willing to share their own information with these high schoolers, please message me.

I have been asked by my GP to talk about PD to med students on placement with her. I have done so and often get them to watch a short video from u tube in addition to talking with them. I think it fills in some of the gaps that you are concerned about. (Last time i used a video submitted for WPC this year.)

Though you are early days i am sure PD has had an impact, social, emotional, financial as well as physical and you will have valuable insights to share.

I have PD and was dx in 2000, at the age of 50 and it was determined by the dr. that I probably had had PD for 10 years prior to my dx, if I can be of any help, please let me know.
