I frequently feel like my feet are rolling and my toes have changed in appearance from trying to grip floor so I don't fall. The foot cramps occur when I overdo-----toes curl right under foot---very painful.
does asnyone suffer from foot cramps and ... - Cure Parkinson's
does asnyone suffer from foot cramps and what do you do when they occur?
I used to try walking backwards if the cramps came while out walking my dog, for example. I no longer suffer cramps since having my DBS surgery.
thanks Steve-----i actually go doenstairs backwards d/t feel safer. You're brave doing the DBS.......tought of tampering with my head scares me.-----happy it worked for you.
I get horrible foot cramps, mainly in the evening but anytime I try to point my foot (trying to put foot in shoe). I pull my foot up and stretch my toes. Takes several tries usually before it goes away.
during PT, I have been learning to focus on the balss of my feet to relearn how to feel them when wlking. By reducing the pressure on the toes, this seems to help already.
I too get this cramping and curling. Drives me crazy. I found if i sit on my foot and rub the toes. It seems to relax for awhile. And i notice when walking that foot pops alot....
Taking magnesium supplements helped stop my pain.
I get them in my right foot when my meds start to wear off, sometimes after an hour or so. It feels as if my foot is trying to make a fist. I am unable to unclench them most of the time. I try unclenching with my hand or take a 1/2 dose of Sinemet (I take Stalevo 4x/day). It is uncomfortable but I am still trying to find a way to minimize it.
In the AM my left food with start to curle under and over. Cramps. Not long my legs will shake/tremor. I pull my toes up (or backwards over the top) and hold.
Rub my legs. After 20 minutes or more things begin to settle down. I take my meds at 2AM, 6AM, 10AM, 2PM, 6PM, 10PM and usually before or after 6AM and somewhere close to 2 PM this happens. Rubbing and holdling the toes
helps alot. Best wishes for relief-- Dennis
THANK YOU ALL.......THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE. IF I DON'T OVERDO THEN I'M FINE ----ITS WHEN I AM TIRED AND HAVE WALKED TOO MUCH THESE CRAMPS HIT. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.
I get them in the evening. I find that warm to hot foot baths help and that buddy taping my toes stops them from curling.
I get foot and lower leg cramps a lot,i tried reducing my dosage of sinemet it helped a little, apparently one can have to much sinemet, its just getting the right balance.
Try soaking your fset in ebson salt and warm wwaer. It has magnesium in it, which is absorbed through the skin.
I feel like a bird on a branch, holding on only by my toes. It is very painful and never seems to go away.
