Yes, I did! And I was so excited to go back to again after they pulled it off the market! The minute I applied it, it began to itch! Had to stop after using one for 24 hrs. I had a rash that lasted for a month. I was so disappointed! I had no problems the first time! They didn't know if I was allergic to the medication or the adhesive! Go figure!

Blessings,

Carol <><

I tried it also for two months but it itched so bad, turned red, that I stopped it after the two months. Perhaps too early to know if it helped I suppose. ~~ Dennis

They diagnosed me with pd, for about a year now they say i don't have it and have dopa responsive dystonia, so you basically on the same meds as pd. I was on that patch, it caused a lot of side affects. My last side affect, my breathing was laboring til i black out 4 times within a ten minute period. So becareful and read the side affects. good luck

I used Neupro two years ago. The effects were perfect. the first months. Until the allergic reaktions started with"burning"inflammations in the skin. It was awful!

I have been on Neupro patches now for 7 months it is difficult to find a new place to put a patch daily as you have not to use the same place for 14 days.

I find if you warm them first they stick. If they become loose that is when the itching seems to start they have to make very good skin contact.

They are difficult to get hold of it seems I usually have to order them at least ten days in advance.

Have been on 10mgs of Neurpo patches for the past 3years with no serious side effects. The benefits I have received far outweigh the problem with itching skin.

I tend to place the patches on the upper leg between the knee and the thigh. mainly

On the side of the leg.I also use a cream to repair any damage done to the skin.

It works for me.

How did you warm the Neupro patch? I have to put tape on mine to keep it in place all day.

in reply toKathleen

I put it near the electric blanket just to take the chill of the fridge from it.

I did not know that it had to be refrigerated ,

in reply toKathleen

Neupro patches have to be kept in the fridge.

I started on 2 mg Then 4mg and had no side effects for about 5 months. Then I started having visual side effects like seeing color blocks and prisms occasionally. My eye doc saw nothing wrong; my Neuro said this could be a side effect and reduced me back to 2 mg. I still get some visual side effects, occasionally. No problems with itching

HI I m trying to use 8 mg patch but it is starting to itch, however it works great so I use lotion to repair some redness, If I get to warm or over heated, then the patch really reacts on the skin I had 6 mg at first, it worked well and replace the Mirapex which I was glad to get rid of, Hard to find spots in place not used 14 days apart =. I m doing great with the Nuepro it is just the redness and itchy part may cause me to have to stop. but I don't want to go back to Mirapex. Catch 22

I agree it does start to itch if it becomes loose take it off and reapply a new one . It can get a little red . My husband has very fragile skin but I have continued to use them .

Warm them in the palm of your hand before applying then carefully put them in place and keep holding the palm of you hand while smooth.Ing . He has been on 6 mg for about 3 yrs .

It's interesting to read that someone has been having breathing problems since using them .

if you get a red patch , occasionally if it c arches when removing it can blister the I Use SUDACREME.

My partner tried the Neupro patches and had a terrible job keeping them on, he would find them in the bed and all over the place. He is now on Requip tablets as well as the Madopar.

My husband started with 2 mg for 3 months and now on 4 mg. Holding the patch in place for 30 seconds with the palm of your hand helps keep it in place. There has been mild itching on occasion. This med has really helped with all phases of the disabilities we attribute to PD. Diagnosed with PD over 20 years ago, so we have tried so many drugs--this one is one of the best. We decided not to try DBS after visiting two brain surgeons--too many variables for us--so we continue with the drug cocktails! Also started physical therapy to help with muscle tone and walking gait.

Tried and failed. Had fairly severe allergic reaction. As did my neighbor.

I've been on 4 mg for one month with no problems. If you experience itching, you can download a body picture with suggested placements from the neupro website. To keep the patch from falling off, put it on when your skin is completely dry, not after taking a bath or shower. I just put it on, and put my hand on top of it for about 30 seconds as per their instructions and have had no difficulty at all.
