Smoking marijuana controls tremors. Tony xx
Thank you Tony, but I don't want to have to get high to stop tremors. I have 3 children.
In theory smoking tobacco may help diminish a tremor as smoking stimulates production of Dopamine. In fact it has been observed that smoking reduces the risk of getting PD.
I smoked for something like 25 years and only after about 2 years of not smoking did I develop PD symptoms.
Also, I once read that using Nicotine replacement patches, probably several at a time would help with PD symptoms. I never tried it so this is just one of those things you read I suppose.
I don't have tremor, but my friends in my PD exercise classes say exercise helps.
What symptoms do you have? I don't have tremor either but balance problems, turning in bed bed, getting out of bed, sitting back in chairs, seems to be the center of my body and my legs. I can't put my shoes and socks on because my legs are ridgid.
I have rigidity in my left ankle and left inner thigh. Being off makes walking difficult. I developed what my neuro calls "visceral off" meaning when my meds wear off, my visceral area stops working, can't pee, etc. I've developed painful dystonia in lower pelvic area as a result.
Hope you get some relief soon.
