My drunk uncle.

I think of my PD as a drunk uncle.

He shows up at the worst times. I'm never glad to see him. He makes a spectacle of himself and embarrasses the hell out of me.

Still, he is family, so I tend to him, make sure he's taking his meds, see if he needs anything to eat or drink, put him down for a nap or get him to go outside for some fresh air. He's usually okay after that.
