As a caregiver for my husband, I need lots of patience and strength. I have found this prayer that I would like to share.

My Prayer

I feel I am losing both the battle and the war,

Trying to keep things normal but nothings normal anymore.

Trying to live in the present with a willing heart but

Feeling myself slowing falling apart.

Crying and screaming then walking away,

Taking deep breaths, stopping to pray.

Please God give me strength to continue on this day.

Written by Lois Walsh and printed in a book written by Mary T. Newport, M.D.

Thank you. I have printed a copy for myself and will forward it to our Support Group. Again, thanks. I know we all understand what being a caregiver is all about. I cherish the good moments and hope there are more of them
