Anyone have harder time healing?

Seems like since my dx everything is more painful and takes longer to heal! I always was a quick healer, and pretty high pain tolerance. Now, not so much! :(

Hubby takes longer to recover and when he does get sick, it is more intense than before his diagnosis. Try to avoid surgery if you can. The anesthesia causes reactions for him.

Oh no about the surgery... some point I will need, guess I'll try to prolong or maybe get over earlier than later. :(

Yes, and I've had many little injuries and needed anesthesia . Brain feels like swiss cheese (holes in memory) . 2 torn meniscuses, torn rotator cuff, torn adductor in front of hip, ovarectomy, emergency hernia repair, 2 failed colonoscopies. Now I hope my (incase I have to go to) hospital bag gets here soon. A year ago I couldn't go anywhere without an assistant. Now I'm walking a mile or two with a walker as long as I don't forget meds. :)

I fell and fractured my radial head in my right arm on 11/11/11. After 4 months of not healing I had an elbow replacement. Asked the doctor if it had to do with PD and was told there were no studies about it.

yeah I was told that about my left sided weakness.. then later i read it on the parkinsons foundation site. lol

That's OK........the elbow replacement has finally healed and I have most of my usage back. Now of course arthritis has set in. Wish it hadn't taken 2 doctors to get the surgery. First dr just kept telling me it was "slow healing" and the pain got unbearable. Went for a 2nd opinion and had surgery 5 days later.
