My feet are swollen is this a sympton?
If you are taking Requip this can cause swollen ankles. Tony
Depends what meds you are on. Amantadine can also do this.
Could be another separate condition as well. Varicose veins? CVI? (Chronic Veinous Insufficiency) caused by weight gain of certain drugs. I have CVI from taking a medication that caused such a rapid weight gain that it damaged the veins in my ankles causing me to have mild CVI. Beware of the side effects of meds! JEG
I'm on Amanatadine and it makes my legs swell also.
Sinemet makes my gut swell and then my knees. I have begged for a med vacation but NOOOOOOOOOO!
I've been taking Requip for all my 8 yrs since dx. I started having swollen feet, ankles & lower legs around 3-4 yrs ago. Apparently this is quite common in PD with or without meds. PatV I've recently started Sinemet & I mirror your reaction. My gut problems have burst into life (how vulgar), followed by lower limb joints. Janellen, What meds caused your weight gain? This happened to me - I put on 2 stone (28lbs) in 2 months when taking (I've blanked on the drug - possibly Lyrica). Thank goodness for this site - It's so good knowing we are not alone.
