anxiety

I’ve had a relationship with anxiety for a few years now and try to anticipate and therefore minimize its effects while avoiding meds in favor of talking it through chronologically with a friend or my mds. I find that laying on my bed with lights dim helps, as well as a neck pad heated in the microwave.

I notice as major changes arrive such as moving, considering ending driving, and saying no to opportunities to which I’m attracted that anxiety is becoming more of my core response to life.

If this strikes home for you please share your insights.

I say no to a lot of things bc of anxiety—even walking into another room can be anxiety producing for me. I’ve taken meds most of my life for anxiety/depression but they’re not really working against the Parkinson’s monster. Currently I have started drinking medicinal teas 3 times/day & I think it’s helping. PM for links to the companies I’ve used. Also, yoga can help, there are poses to help with anxiety depression on YouTube. I hear you about lying in bed in a calm environment, but all the advice will tell you to start moving, it doesn’t matter how, just try to do it even if its just one arm at first. Also, CBD gummy? Or CBD with some thc? If all else fails klonipan isn’t the worst thing in the world. Start with 1/4 of 1 mg (that’s a tiny dose). Hope something helps. Anxiety is very hard.

I have anxiety too. It’s hard to determine triggers. Anxiety is one of signs of B1 overdose in Dap1948 's book. So, I take a B1 break; if it gets better during the break; I start back at a lower dose. I also, find episodes usually occur before it’s time to take my C/L, it’s tempting to increase my C/L, but sometimes the B1 break and lower dose helps reduce number of episodes too.
