Just wanted to ask if anyone has heard anything recently regarding Dr Tass and his ground-breaking research in the development of his vibrating gloves. When I first heard about his research I was absolutely thrilled to see that such a non-invasive treatment for parkinson's was even possible. It seemed to be too good to be true?? I'm still holding out a little bit of hope that someday they will make it thru the FDA approval process and be available for purchase. If they are as effective as he claims, they will be a game changer, no doubt.
Any updates regarding Dr Peter Tass and h... - Cure Parkinson's
Any updates regarding Dr Peter Tass and his Vibrotactle Gloves?
i’m on his mailing list, and have had silence from them for over a year
There are so many people anxiously waiting for news on Peter Tass gloves, myself included, but we are all in the dark. The most skilled have made them themselves and it looks like they might work. I wrote to our excellent our member Michel a while back asking if it would be possible to contact Dr. Tass again for an update. Hopefully the Beech Band will bring us something useful but above all soon.
I followed up with Dr. Tass last week and this was his response "According to current timelines I will received gloves for local patients in February and hopefully soon after also gloves for remote patients." They are still in the trial phase.
Thanks for the update.
Have you used his(Tass) gloves? If so how did they work for you? Did your symptoms get better or go away? Are you still using the gloves?

I was in fact the 2nd person to use the gloves in 2018 before they started the trials. I’ve been using it until last month when they broke down and I can’t get a replacement. To learn more about what it did for me, attached is a video

I have home-made gloves with instructions and program on YouTube and GitHub . There are many factors to consider…quality of supplies, adherence to instructions, programming rev, and I think that program may be better designed for each individual.
My set up is a shot-in-the-dark, but is definitely worth trying. I can understand that designing the gloves for durability would be an issue.
Kanwar. Will you be unable to replace them at all, or will you get one of the February batch?Have you noticed any effect from no longer being able to use the gloves?
Would you like any help making a set ?
Regarding the above comment “still in the trial phase” — does anyone have an informed estimate of when the trials may end… and gloves become available to PD patients ? I believe I viewed a Stanford video circa June 2024 where Tass himself directly responded to a question about availability timing — and he estimated “one year”. I’ve seen/read nothing since from Stanford regarding timing. Seems surprising that availability timing is a topic never addressed remotely well.

The preliminary trial registered is scheduled to start in April this year and finish in October 2027. So maybe commercially available in early 2028?
oh you've just got the word "The" attached to the link at the end
I’m wondering the same.

Sounds like you got about 6 years of use from them, I imagine the cost will be high once available to the public but well worth it.
have you noticed any difference after being off the gloves?
yes have had to increase my medication dosage
I Anwar, therefore during these 6/7 years of stimulation have you always continued to take the medicines? The use of gloves is not decisive, despite the fact that Dr. Tass, during an interview, stated that the gloves were a turning point in the fight against Parkinson's.
Yes I continued to take medicine, but it was about 65% less than I was taking prior to the stimulation. Thanks
FedYou seem a bit fixated on this business of eliminating meds. You are always asking me the question. And always getting the answer that there is an interaction between the gloves and meds that has to be balanced. The gloves may not eliminate the need for meds but they substantially improve quality of life
Before the gloves kanwar was in a wheelchair (some of the time) after the gloves he ran the new York marathon
I'd call that a turning point
