There are so many theories on what causes PD, I’m sure a lot of things can , pesticides, head injuries, dry cleaning chemicals, but in 1817 there was no pesticides, dry cleaning chemicals, I keep coming back to Iron, , cast iron cookware , mercury or even tooth decay, I use cast iron and so did my mom growing up, and I do have a root canal which causes bad microbes, and then there is I think three people that have healed themselves with chi gong/ meditation, I’m sure stress and being under fight or flight all the time which I’ve been doesn’t help. Has anyone checked there iron levels or heavy metals with a hair analysis, and can they check the brain for to much iron or other metals. Thank you

I read one account that said that possibly the increase of Parkinson's came with the onset of industrialization and the industrial pollution that happened when there was more coal being burned

I think it’s just anything that over stresses the body. Toxins, over exercise, over stressful life, radiation, medications, food additives, too much of the wrong types of food and not enough of the right….

There is no one cause.

I had hair analysis. The only thing I was high in was arsenic, but there are two types - okay and not okay. The analysis doesn’t differentiate unfortunately.

. I stopped burning coal on the fire and switched to wood. I also reduced the amount of rice I was eating. And I stopped using henna on my hair. (no idea if it was related, I was working on a hunch)

Within a year, the levels had gone right back down to negligible. It has made absolutely no difference to my symptoms, so I assume it was the organic conversion of arsenic which the body can deal with.

Personally, I.have always struggled to get my iron levels up, never had an excess.

I go with Janice Walton-Hadlock 's theory: it's a state of trauma resulting from past experience. I wouldn't try to explain ot myself but it makes sense to me because I know my off the scale anxiety from childhood has driven this. Getting out of it is not possible for most of us,but in early stage some seem to have done it. It sounds bizarre, but it's worth reading her her book.

I had hair analysis and they found a huge amount of manganese toxicity. Everyone should have their hair analyzed.
