The researchers report that this particular combination (low magnesium levels and high amounts of homocysteine) “damages the body’s genes, making people more susceptible to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, gastrointestinal diseases, a range of cancers, and diabetes”.

About 95% of us are mg deficient. It's such an important nutrient.

I have been taking magnesium every since I read an article that prosed the question "Is it Parkinson's or magnesium deficiency".

I have tried to find again and have not be able to.

Something from that article, "performed an experiment in which rats were exposed to restricted intake of Ca and/or Mg over two generations. This resulted in severe loss of dopaminergic neurons exclusively in the substantia nigra in 1-year-old rats"
