What is the conversion rate for 1/2 tab of generic Sinemet 25/100 and Mucuna Pruriens (Now brand containing 15% standardized L-Dopa? 2 capsules per dose=120 mg L-Dopa. Thanks

NOW two capsules: .15 x 800 mg mucuna =120 plus 120 l-dopa =240 mg l-dopa plus half a Sinemet 25/100 and is 12.5 mg carbidopa with 50 mg levodopa. 240 plus 50 = 290 mg l-dopa

math people correct me if I am misunderstanding this

Ideally I want to replace 1/2 of one full dose of Sinemet with an equivent dose of mucuna and want to know how many capsules to take. Thanks

one capsule would be .15 x 400 or 60 mg plus 1/2 of the two capsule dose would be 60 so if you took one capsule that would be 120 mg l-dopa so not quite sure how exactly you could get 50 mg because I doubt you could take half a capsule

What benefits are you looking to achieve? How is mucuna better than sienmet? I use Rytary, so I am curious what other options exist.
