AZP2006 - Update

My husband has Parkinsons - I am always researching as to what is new and what might be helpful besides using the gold standard - Levodopa/Carbidopa for Parkinsons which incidentally was developed in the 1960's. It's high time that there is new research and new drugs available for Parkinsons patients.

Attached is a link to an update on the research of a new drug - AZP2006 - posted on March 13, 2024. They are now in the Phase 2a study - not sure how many phases there are.

Two successful Phase 3 trials are generally required for approval, although this requirement can be reduced under certain circumstances..

would there be benefit in contacting the company and asking them to let you know when and where the new clinical trials will be happening- I wasn't able to find anything on this on clinicaltrials.gov using AZP2006 and other information connected with this

That's a great idea. I'll contact the company and circle back with everyone and let them know what I find out.
