I remember when he was on PBS, the American public network. I tried to follow his fasting method but it was too difficult for me to do long-term.

I'm a very big fan. Michael Moseley introduced all sorts of health concepts to the general public which many might have never heard of otherwise. Because of who he was with his kind, inquisitive and down to earth delivery, there has been widespread discussion of issues which might have otherwise been considered too far from the traditional medical approach. His programme 'Just One Thing' had people from care homes to schools to pubs discussing many matters we discuss here.I am so sad he is no longer with us. His specific legacy to our family will be that my husband will never again go off walking alone without an emergency flag/flare of some sort.

My thoughts are with his family.

Thanks kaypeeoh and Smokeypurple

In case anyone wants to watch the original Dr Michael Mosley BBC documentary featuring Dr Mark Mattson (my family had the privilege of meeting him) and Dr Victor Longo. Great job by Dr Mosley to bring research out from labs into a documentary:

On why fasting works in Neurological diseases, (and cancer and metabolic syndrome - diabetes, heart disease) - here is a great paper by Dr Matthew CL Phillips - whose team conducted world’s first randomized control trial of Ketogenic diet (fast-mimicking) in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Again, glad for the privilege of meeting this wonderful researcher in person in Low Carb USA conference, San Diego - 2023
