Gluthathione Intravenous Drips - have you had this treatment?
2018 I had about 24 glutathione IVs and 24 acupuncture treatments when I was diagnosed with parkinsonism. About time I was having some dragging of my 1 foot slight tremors on my right hand. I think in general it help me whether it did anything for the Parkinson’s? I’m not quite sure. My understanding is glutathione is important for the immune system. I just recently had some test and the functional medicine doctor that I’m seeing put me on oral glutathione. It became too expensive to continue the IVs. I think it’s a good thing though. I do remember seeing a video of Dr. pleuameter (sp) using massive doses of glutathione and it showed dramatic improvement in a Parkinson’s patient.
I can't find my biochem texts to be sure but I think glutathione is the body's natural antioxidant. Chemically similar to vitamin C. So essentially it's a vitamin shot? This was important to me because I was self-medicating with Ozone. This is an oxidant. If too much is injected the body's natural antioxidant, glutathoine, is overwhelmed and oxidant damage to the lungs could occur. Too much ozone injected too quickly led to chest angina which feels like a heart attack. But it's actually catecholamines being released. These chemical messengers tell the body to martial healing cells to the injured area to repair it.
Using Melatonin or GlyNAC, both restore Glutathione. IV Glutathione may not be needed.
