Relaxium for sleep: Has anyone tried... - Cure Parkinson's
Relaxium for sleep
Magnesium, L-Tryptophan, Valerest, Ashwagandha, Gaba, Chamomile, Passionflower, Melatonin
... warm milk. Quietly focus on your breathing like as in yoga or other meditation... Or just "not minding," or listening to a CD with rain sounds and just not worrying about whether you're getting enough sleep, until eventually you wake up and wonder when did you actually go to sleep... Sometimes that works, brings out the same chemical effect but just smaller, more subtle.
Thanks . I've tried most everything listed here. Last night I slept 8 hours. The night before it was 3 hrs.
Thanks. Been there done that.
I understand the difficulty of getting sleep. My husband is the person with Parkinson's and he sometimes has trouble with sleep but not regularly. I am unable to get adequate sleep but some of the sleep aids make me groggy for days. The one thing I have found to be a little helpful was glycine and I appreciate that it does not leave me half asleep the whole next day. Most of my friends who are my age have problems with sleep. It seems like the two favorites are tryptophan and glycine but I think there is an issue with tryptophan for someone with Parkinsons.
Relaxium doesn't get great reviews on Amazon...3 stars mostly. I use Zenium for sleep and anxiety, also available on Amazon. I use 2 capsules an hour before bed. It now takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to fall asleep. Prior to Zenium it could take hours, sometimes I wouldn't sleep at all. I love it.
Zenium has Ashwangandha, 5 HTP, L-theanine, rhodiola rosea, GABA, lemon balm, gotu kola, valerian, vitamin d3 and magnesium.
