maybe it is just the luck of the draw- I have been taking vitamin D for many years and the last time I had a cold was 2008 when I worked with a woman who would not cover her coughs and I have had no flu or other infections or covid although I do use several infection prevention strategies as well - with regard to the covid part I say knock on wood since it is so important to avoid this completely especially because I do not want my husband with Parkinson's to get covid from me - I suggest OCD hand washing, never touching doorknobs, disinfecting shopping cart handles before you use the cart - you get the picture

One thing that wasn't said is that Vitamin D3 levels affect appetite and hence obesity so it is a vicious circle. I have been taking 5,000 iu vit d3 every say since the begining of the pandemic and doubling the dose in midwinter and haven't had more than a couple of days of runny nose since and I haven't had a vaxine.
