I have been using olive leaf extract for about 6 months, so far no colds and flu and I feel better. It's cheap, but don't open that capsule or the bitter taste will kill you.😁

This recipe looks interesting 🤔

Very appropriate Gio. The olive leaf as a symbol of peace, hope, and optimism. I wish you all of these in 2024! 🍃

I completely agree with you, Esperanto

In the age of the atomic bomb the idea of having an empire should be abolished, with its barbaric wars.

It's been a long time since we gave up on the idea of empire here, that is, since a much more powerful message passed:

"love your neighbor".

Given how this story ended two thousand years ago, it had to be a very revolutionary message and it still be. 😁😁😁.

Happy New Years from Italy 🇮🇹

Really interesting article - may I ask what dosage that you use of the extract? Also of note: Olive oil is very low in sulfur: only 8 mg/kg. Thanks for your post.

I use from 2 to 4 capsules per day of the product you see in the center of the photo, but there are dozens and dozens of OLE brands on the web. The more bitter it is, the more oleuropein it contains. See also this and the final Bernie ‘s comments:

Thanks Gioc.Very interesting, I wish I hadn't read far enough to find this extract😏below. However, overall it's still a positive pathway👏

Happy New Year 🥂

"Finally, we would like to stress that although autophagy is usually considered a pro-survival mechanism in neurons, its activation is also linked to neuronal death under some circumstances as in ischemic brain damage. As a consequence, autophagy regulation as a means of neuroprotection is rather promising, though it is important to consider its “yin-yang” duality. Indeed, as much as the recycling of dysfunctional organelles and misfolded proteins might benefit neurons, excessive activating of autophagy may also result in autophagic cell death. Therefore, the use of molecules targeting the autophagic pathways will require important fine-tuning"

Exactly. !!!

The same thing goes for vitamin B3 in all its forms. The answer is my opinion, proceed with moderation and gradually balancing with minerals and other vitamins in proportion. This will avoid apostosis while keeping autophagy active.

Happy new year from Italy!

Thanks 😊

in any case, consider that causing autophagy in the brain is a very difficult thing because it is an organ with a large and well-nourished fat mass.

I never thought about having a fat brain 😀Anyways, I've just enjoyed bread fried in low heat olive oil till crisp, with a runny fried egg and brown sauce. Probably considered uncultured by many but I loved it 🙂

Happy New Year Gio! Thank you for the beautiful pictures . I remember Silvestrov also posted on oleuropein and that was when my husband took a bottle. I cannot remember what the make was but it was very economical.

Thanks Milibrooke, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. Unfortunately, PD is a difficult disease, but there are those who are worse off.

Hi nop9 , I agree OLE is horrible taste , excellent antivirus but for this purpose I still prefer the good old vitamin D3 + K2 taken occasionally, especially if of good German quality.
