can someone help and tell me if taking 100mg of B1 sublingual for 4 days, every other day is a lot as I started to experience more internal tremors and leg trembling. Should I stop the B1 or reduce the amount of days. Please assist.

Well judging by your reaction to the 100 mg dose of sublingual B1 over four days - more internal tremors and leg trembling - it is too much. Of course this assumes that the B1 is the source of your troubles.

So yes, stop 🛑 Take a week off and try one every other day, and see what results you get.

My spouse takes one a day and has been for the last 18 months and does not have a problem.

While you wait to recommence I would strongly suggest you increase your supplementation of Magesium up to the daily required limit. Do not use Magnesium Oxide as it is poorly absorbed.🌹

Edit: … and keep the Magnesium supplement level high as you continue your B1 therapy.

Thank you for the quick response. My question is how many tablets does he take in a week.

Springbreak in reply toSpringbreak

And how many mg of Magnesium ?

CaseyInsights profile image
CaseyInsights in reply toSpringbreak

Oh it’s my wife. She takes one B1 sublingual daily - seven tablets per week and 200mg to 400mg of Magnesium from Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate and Magnesium Citrate.

and she also takes 300mg of Benfotiamine daily.

Thank you . How does your wife feel.Is the B1 therapy helping her ?

CaseyInsights profile image
CaseyInsights in reply toSpringbreak

She uses a wide variety of supplements, so I cannot speak to the B1 only effect.

She is quite stable at this point. I expect her exercise routine to lengthen as she moves further into retirement, which I hope would be a further break on decline. 🌹

…but I should add that the sublingual B1 helped with ‘masking’: less rigid facial features 💥

Springbreak in reply toCaseyInsights

That’s good. I am happy for her 😊

Benfotiamine is also a form of thiamine which may pass the blood brain barrier. In total this may be too much thiamine daily.

My suggestions are not only based on my experience but they are also well researched.

See here this award of 45 million dollars for research on Benfotiamine (B1) and do note the research dosage of 300-mg benfotiamine pills twice daily, which the researchers assessed in a preliminary study as completely safe.

burke.weill.cornell.edu/gib...

Given the above, it effectively crushes your opinion - “this may be too much thiamine daily”.💥

Hi Springbreak,

I too have rexcently started the B1 method. In my case I started on 50mg injection TWICE a week, which I will increase to 100mg twice a week.

Cheers,

Dan.

Have you read Daphnes book and the b1 protocol. Because the recommended start doe for sublingual b1 is 50mg Mon Wed Fri. So the dose you chose is very high and highly likely to create overdose symptoms. A 2 week minimum rest time is needed then consider starting again on a much lower dose. Then monitor and record daily every tiny change or improvement.

Read the files for info on the needed addition of magnesium and bcomplex to compliment the protocol

Springbreak in reply toWindermere1

Thank you . Have not read her book yet . Will do 🙏🏼

Hi again, you will struggle to achieve success with b1 without Daphnes book and reading all her files. Join fb group Parkinson’s b1 therapy, get the book, read the files on the header page of thefb group. Watch daphnes utube videos and interviews. THEN after all the research Consider which b1 to take sublingual or Oral. When will you add in the required magnesium and bcomplex. Are you already taking levodopa because it compliments te b1 protocol

A lot to read and comprehend but success and a much improved lifestyle awaits you when you get it right. My success story with b1 is on utube and under Guides on the fb page.

Best wishes for your success

Thank you so much for the feedback. Yes I do take sinemat 25/1 00 and Amantandine 100 mg twice a day. The mag and b complex supplements I have been taking them for a while. For the magnesium I take magnesium triple complex and for B-Complex, I take BioActive Complete B-Complex.Thank you once again.

Windermere1 in reply toSpringbreak

Hi again, if you read files the recommendations for magnesium you will find that the triple is not recommended because you will never be able to tell which one gives best results. Far better to choose individual to you needs

Which one would you suggest I take in. this situation

Springbreak profile image
Springbreak in reply toWindermere1

Hello again can you share and let me the name of the magnesium supplement that you were taking . Will appreciate it

Windermere1 profile image
Windermere1 in reply toSpringbreak

Because I am in the U.K. I use British supplements. I take Lthreonate in a morning and glycinate late afternoon/early evening but must be separate to levodopa. If I have a constipation problem I substitute one of these with Citrate for a few days. Hope this helps

Springbreak profile image
Springbreak in reply toWindermere1

Oh yes it helped . I am in USA. Thank you .The reason I am taking triple magnesium was because I was having leg cramping and it was helping, but will do the needful.

Springbreak profile image
Springbreak in reply toWindermere1

Hello . Can I just take l-threonate by itself only or have to take all the different types ?

Yes you can

Hello it’s me spring break. My Doc has stopped Sinemat and has put me on Amantandine 100mgs once a day . I was wondering if the b1 therapy will work since you mentioned that levodopa complements the b1 protocol ?

Windermere1 profile image
Windermere1 in reply toSpringbreak

B1 will work without levodopa and many people have had success with b1 and magnesium and bcomplex and no levodopa

Springbreak in reply toWindermere1

The triple magnesium Bio Emblem has got all the three magnesium in it I forgot to mention it to you , do I still need a separate magnesium supplement.. wanted to ask you before I buy a separate magnesium supplement ?

Windermere1 profile image
Windermere1 in reply toSpringbreak

The triple magnesium is not recommended. Choose individual ones

Why is the triple magnesium not recommended?

Art

Windermere1 profile image
Windermere1 in reply tochartist

Because if one magnesium disagrees with you how do you know which one?

chartist profile image
chartist in reply toWindermere1

The three forms of magnesium in MagEnhance are all highly tolerable and absorbable forms of magnesium. Generally, issues with magnesium are related to forms of magnesium that can promote diarrhea. None of these three forms of magnesium are noted for that side effect. Taurate, threonate and glycinate are all well absorbed, can cross the blood brain barrier and are not the forms noted for potential to cause diarrhea. All three can work together to assist in activating thiamine.

Hello how did you manage to cut the 100 mg of b1 as I am trying to do it , it’s becoming all powdery. I am planning to start my therapy on Monday again with 50 mg and see how it works out for me .
