The new foundation is called: ASAP which stands for "Aligning Science Across Parkinsons"

It represents 14 participating countries and 80 institutions!

Sergey Brinn, co-founder of Google has the LARK-2 PD gene.

My understanding he has also made a very sizeable donation to the MJ Fox organization, as well.

The problem hasn’t been lack of money, it’s been lack of results.

sad to say this .... but that's not true ...

you can Google to verify this:

our gov't spends through the NIH and other gov't agencies approximately ...

ONLY 250 million yearly on PD research ...

yet...

our gov't spends... 250 BILLION $$$ yearly on HEALTH COSTS related to PD

so for every dollar spent on 'research' ... $100 dollars is spent on 'PD care'

so do you still think we are spending enough money on PD research?

p.s. it cost about 3 BILLION $$$ in research to come up with the cocktail of drugs to defeat AID/HIV (NOT cure it ... but manage it with DRUGS for a lifetime)

There has been billions of dollars spent on research above and beyond what the government is spending, with very few results to show for it.

in aggregate .... over 70 years of PD research ... 70 YEARS ... sure... "billions"

divided that by '70' and you get a PITTANCE of what is truly needed to beat PD

------------------------------------------

in 'real dollars' .... HIV/AIDS cost 6 BILLION to 'manage'

Value of $1 from 1995 to 2023

$1 in 1995 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $2.00 today, an increase of $1.00 over 28 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.51% per year between 1995 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 100.20%.

and that 6 BILLION was CONCENTRATED into just a few years of research

and they GOT RESULTS

How much money has Michael J Fox raised for Parkinson's research?

Michael J. Fox has raised over $1 billion for Parkinson's research, having been diagnosed with the disease at the age of 29. Fox was honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 13th Governors Awards in Los Angeles in November of last year. The actor founded the Michael J.May 12, 2023

---------------------------------------

the US gov't spends a PITTANCE of around 250 million measly dollars a year

-----------------------------------------

now with Sergin Brinn -- one of the world's richest people -- 111 BILLION dollars ...

putting HIS wallet behind PD research ...

we will get RESULTS!
