this has to be the best piece of news for PwPs since Levadopa - the downside is the wait for final results of all stages and the surgical training required - I’m guessing years away.

This link will give you a balanced overview of the current state of research on trials in pd in the rest of the world.

The result of 12 people at stage one (BlueRock) is promising but at least 15 years work ahead i would say.

Sorry, you are quite right but there have been continuous references to that Swedish Study at Lund University on these boards, primarily to an explanation by a doctor at Cambridge which I cant put my finger on at the moment. There seems to be parallel research by a private company at MSK that may be found at mskcc.org/news/upcoming-cli....

(The results of such tiny study at Lund years ago are fairly startling)

i haven’t found the Lund study but Roger Barker has done alot of research on stem cells. He has been doing it for many years. These news reports are full of hype and do not give an accurate picture.
