Our MD suggested it. Back when I looked into it, I saw our facility was quite a drive away. Then, the IV procedure takes time. And I seem to recall expensive. None of which matter a whole lot if the thing would make a big difference.

My HwP decided to stick with Dr Costantini's thiamine protocol and a few other things that were pretty easy. So, we didn't try the glutathione.

Yes I am currently doing 1500mg Glutathione IV bi-weekly. My Naturopathic Doctor also adds B12 and B1 occasionally. It provides a definite increase in energy.

Yes HWP did for over one year, prior to starting PD meds and while on PD meds. No significant improvement, for 24 hours after the IV push he was wiped out. The functional medicine MD said it was his body detoxing. Not worth the cost for us. Have done liposomal glutathione not a bad choice and less expensive. Mostly just for dextoxification.

I was diagnosed in 2017 with parkinsonism. I under one of both 25 glutathione IVs. I believe it did help at that time. Became cost prohibitive. I am giving consideration to trying it again. I think it really boosts your immune system. Good luck

HwP has been undergoing chelation therapy to rid extremely high lead and gets an 800mg glutathione push at the end of the IV treatment. He has had 33 treatments since last October. His doc just last week and next week is upping it to 1200, 1400, and then 1600 mg within the next week to see if there is any improvement (hubby seems to be going downhill, may have Lewy Body, and REM sleep disorder which, I just read, is definite precursor to dementia). If there is improvement, we may consider a pic line and I'll give him glutathione at home thru that. In the mean time, check out out Quicksilver Liposomal Glutathione, its a sublingual spray which our chelation doc highly recommends and also check out Livon Labs glutathione - supposed to be as absorbable as IV glut. In any case, yes, its pricey, but the really good stuff can be. Also, look up what foods can increase glutathione production. Good luck. In reality, we all probably need extra glutathione as we age!

Should we test for a deficiency first?

Our doc did not test for any deficiency before giving it high dose. I don't know if there is a test. However, it seems like we are all lacking in glutathione. After getting 1200, 1400, 1600, and 1800, HwP did not like the way he felt on the 1800 mg dose, went back to the 1600 mg dose and felt good after each one. We will wait and see if it makes a big difference without having it for 3 weeks before we make a decision on the pic line. However, I give him between 900 mg and 1400 mg a day in 2 different oral forms. Read The Glutathione Revolution - great info!
