Hi Kingdomcome,

I recently purchased a whole body vibrating platform and my wife started using it about 10 days ago. Too early to judge if it does any good for PD but based on several videos on YouTube, it should do.

I have also used it on some occasions and after a 10 minute session, it does feel like one has had a work out. My opinion is that for those of us that are not very motivated in exercising, this is the alternative. Ours is a very basic model that cost around $140.

Before purchasing one, I would suggest to look at as many videos as possible and then decide.

I always check the negative sides of things and after looking it up I read that though it is generally safe, repeated use of vibration machines in some people is associated with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, digestive problems, nerve damage, headaches, and even cancer so a thorough investigation of the machine and the pros and cons is merited before buying or using.

I've had one for many years. It saved me from EXCRUCIATING leg pain a few times!

I use it for 10 minutes after I do my indoor biking (which is too infrequent).

It will 'shake my head' --- depending how I situate myself on the platform.

Recently, I found another way to use it... FIGHT CONSTIPATION!

Since it 'shakes my whole body'... it's one of a few things I do to fight my constipation including:

1. I have a massager on my stomach for 15 minutes before I get out of bed.

2. Situps (check my other post i just created) -- I bought one for $85 on Amazon.

3. Psyllium Husk (ditto) for fiber.

-------------------------------

So I can't say 'definitively' that it helps my un-dx'd PD.

But it sure as heck feels good!

Best of luck!

ditto for me... but it does seem to help my constipation (plus i do other things for constipation) -- and my vibration plate machine saved me from EXCRUCIATING leg cramps a few times!
