My husband has been advised to try Zandopa as a sort of test to see if he has early stage PD. Should he take it with or without food? It does not say on the bottle and the practitioner who prescribed it did not say. I thought I might get a quicker answer here.
Thanks

I think that you'd need to take a lot to get enough levodopa to the brain. If you can get carbidopa to take with it then you'll know very quickly if it helps.
Failing that, I heard that green tea or matcha in large doses along with Zandopa may increase the potency
Thanks for your reponse. This is what has been advised by a Naturopath specializing in PD and Alzheimer's. It's temporary until he gets the right dose of the pharmaceutical grade dopamine that he's having made.
Also, I’ve read on the forum to take Vit C + quercetin with the Macuna, which is what’ in the Zandopa. We purchase tge Vit C/quercetin combined in 1 capsule also from VitaCost.com
I also read on this forum to add 5HTP - all of which helps utilize the levadopa
My HwPWe use Barlowe’s brown Macuna, standardized to 244 mg of levadopa. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017. We’ve followed Spanish neurologist Dr Gonzales Maldanodo ‘s advice on taking Macuna (I think that’s how his name is spelled). His information is on the forum here as well.
