Zandopa

I started taking Zandopa but still take seminet . Anyone know if they can be taken together or spaced out. Thanks.

I took zandopa with sinemet, and did not have any issues.

That is correct, I stopped taking it.

Why did you stop taking it did you replace it with something else

I stopped it because I did not see any benefit in taking it any longer compared to the sinemet. I did not replace it with with anything else.

I have taken following excerpt from the book "Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeial Plant Drugs: Expanded Therapeutics by C. P. Khare"

For Parkinson’s disease, powdered Cowhage extract (HP-200, Zandopa of Zandu), standardized to contain 3.3% L-dopa, has been used (22.5–67.5 g divided into two to five doses per day).

Standardized powdered Cowhage seed preparations, containing L-dopa, seem to lessen symptoms of Parkinson’s disease at a relative low dose, compared to conventional L-dopa products. Constituents other than levodopa might have anti Parkinson activity.

Hi ,iqbaliqbal.. I just ordered Zandopa granules for my mom and kapikacchu .. We haven't try, but wondering you said small dose, meaning teaspoon two times right ?

It mentions that same Ldopa content of the mucuna is more effective than the conventional L-dopa products. If your mother take 100/25 sinemet 3 times a day, the equivalent Zandopa powder become 5 grams ( a little bit less than a scoop provided with Zandopa ) three times a day

She only takes 1 Sinemet in the morning 100/25 , where she should take 3 times as her neurologist rendered.. Both hands she have tremor, and her motor symptoms are not great either.. What about kapiccahu any idea ? Thanks for your help.. I didn't opened yet anything but its arrived directly from India

Take a scoop provided with the powder 3 times a day. If required Adjust the dose according to the results

Actually I see your treed about homeopathic she was last night in the homeopath doctor with me..seen by the fames dr. Sharma and giving her homeopathic medicines.. And he swears she will be really good 5-6 weeks from now improving all the symptoms..
