Self cupping for dystonia

Bythejerseyborder profile image

I started experimenting with a silicone cupping set for some extreme pain in hip and leg muscles. I followed some YouTube videos. My experimenting is still in the new stage, but so far my pain has been reduced by about 85%.

One website is Lureessentisls.com. There are some helpful videos there. I basically just look for specific cupping videos for the pain I'm having. Ex calf muscle pain, back pain, hip pain, etc. There are different techniques to be used, just like massage therapy.

Cupping is a centuries old remedy for pain. My mother used them on my back for headaches or flu/cold. The link explains what, how, ect. You must find an experienced individual if you want to try it. It does work! :)

PS. Leave this part out, , ,

The therapist then removes the cup and uses a small scalpel to make light, tiny cuts on your skin. Next, they do a second suction to draw out a small quantity of blood.

For more dramatic results, my mother used a little shaving blade and cut very lightly my back skin in a couple or three areas, then cupped the cut area for a minute or two. Once she removed the cup, she rubbed my back with alcohol and used parchment paper to cover my back. It kind of hurt and I hated it, but it did work wonders!
