Thank you for posting. Can you recommend a particular tablet please as I've been looking on Amazon and there are so many.( My husband is the PWP.) Also how long would you say before the effects could be expected to be felt?
This is what I use: vitacost.com/vitacost-vitam...
I use tablets, which can be cut in half:
walmart.com/ip/Vitamin-B1-5...
and Caps: swansonvitamins.com/p/swans...
I recommend getting Dap1948 's book and joining her Facebook group. And, personally I use 500mg tablets and 100mg caps of Thiamine HCL. I have no problem swallowing

Thanks Gcf51 for posting the list. My wife has been on HDT B1 for over 3 months and she can certainly tick off a number of the benefits on the list.
I continue to do much research on what is out there (almost daily for over 5 months) and lately there seems to be a growing number of doctors/health experts that are advocating the benefits of Benfotiamine for various symptoms of PwP, including cognative, stress, anxiety etc.
I purchased a bottle with 120 capsules 250mg Benfotiamine which arrived yesterday and started my wife on them this morning. She has been on different doses of oral B1 Thiamine, varying from 1000mg to 2000mg and down to 500mg and back to 1000mg, as we are trying to find the right dose.
Although, as I mentioned, my wife has already experienced improvements in a number of issues since starting HDT, we have been trying to find the optimum level as not all her symptoms have improved to our satisfaction. Her brain fog is still quite a problem.
Apparently, Benfotiamine is 3 to 5 times better at entering cells and is absorbed by the body far quicker than normal B1 Thiamine. Once it is absorbed, it then turns into Thiamine. My reluctance to take Benfotiamine, until now, was because it is a synthetic B1 supplement and most doctors/experts advice not to take synthetic ones. However, the views of at least 3 medical experts which I recently watched on YouTube, all say that this is the exception to the rule.
One of the many benefits of Benfotiamine is that it should substantially relieve pain from Peripheral Neuropathy, something my wife has had for a while, and which we shall soon find out.
We have decided to reduce the HDT B1 to 400mg and take Benfotiamine together, twice a day. That is 400mg HDT and 500mg Benfotiamine. I will post our results in due course.
Has anyone already tried to take both of these B1 together?
