my husband started taking B1 3 weeks ago,500 mgs.It had no effect, good or bad.We increased the dose by 200 mg and every thing got worse, speech, balance and gait.He stopped taking any B1 on Saturday, and today is back to “ normal”.It’s obviously a protocol that is unique to every one trying it,but I do t think we will be trying the experiment again.
It takes four months for most improvements to become apparent. If you decide to try again, just stick with the 500 milligrams dosage that was well tolerated.
My husband has been taking 1-SL b-1, on Mon., Wed., and Fri for about a month or so (did not write it down), and I believe I’m seeing small positive signs of improvements. Absolutely no signs of worsening symptoms, so I’m very hopeful, not quitting now. Everyone should read Daphne’s book, in order to clarify this procedure!
We see his new neurologist Dec. 15. Saw him once before, 3 months ago, and were so impressed, very positive attitude, prefers less medication rather than over medication.
I'm short on patience. I am at 1200mg Thiamine HCL a day with results, but I have only been at 1200 for 30days. 4 months seems like an eternally. I started oral at 1000mg 72 days ago.
