For SF Bay Area: UCSF or Stanford?

I’ve been going to the U CSF MD clinic. I’ve found the MDSs very good, competent and open minded.

However, the psychiatric support is extremely limited, and there have been some communication and follow up issues.

I’m wondering if other Bay Area residents have an opinion of where to get the best care?

Hubby went to Stanford, and liked it. The problem was there was always a waitlist for things like speech therapy and PT. So while the staff was some of the best it was hard to get the amount of support needed. We never tried USCF.

I had to wait 6months to see a UCSF psychiatrist, only to find that they could only see me for a year before being referred out to a “community psychiatrist”. each appointment is 3-6 months wait. Yes, these are psychiatrists special zed in movement disorders, but if they can’t do adequate follow up, not much help.
