PHowdy Everyone, I have forgotten how to search within the CurePD community, so I must apologise for raising this issue again buy this might be bit of a head scratcher so here goes;I have always had issues with the idea that dopamine neurons die and that you can't come back from that. About 9 months ago my 5 year old lad was starting to show signs of tourettes, he was kicking and spitting and flicking it came on very fast and it broke my wife and I'm heart. Howrver thru a heap of research on my very driven wife she was able to reduce his tics back to literally 99.9% unaffected thru supplements. You would look at my lad now and go what tourettes. Tourettes is because of a oversupply of dopamine supposedly.

Now to me, If I have any levadopa what

So ever be that Mucuna or madopar/kinson/sinamet my frigging legs are so useless, if I over dose or under dose it does not matter. Now I agather that this is because of 2 potential things, years of exposure to CD/LD medications or too much dopamine in my system. When I don't need to be on medication my legs are typically pretty good, I'll have many days where I don't take my first dose until 5:00 in the arvo now, and that's if im just worworkingking from home with no social exposure.

But you put me in social situations and I turn to mush , I take a dose and I start kicking within a minute, so I'd be honoured to get anyone else's thoughts and feedback. If you can shed some light or share any thoughts.

Thanks for your time

I am certain that the lack of sufficient GDNF in the substantia nigra, which manages the production of dopamine, is the problem.

If you read the MAYO CLINIC STUDY you will see that 'HIGH ENERGY AEROBIC EXERCISE produces GDNF in the brain. Hence more levodopa.

If you do FAST WALKING for ONE HOUR EVERY SECOND DAY, YOU WILL PREGRESSIVELY GET BETTER, as I HAVE OVER THE PAST 28 YEARS SINCE 1994.

Kicking is a form of levodopa induced dyskinesia. This Google scholar search shows numerous references to it, all of which are behind pay walls:

scholar.google.com/scholar?...

Since you experience this at any dosage of levodopa I would suggest investigating other forms of Parkinson's medication. Another possibility is amantadine, which reduces dyskinesia, but can have undesirable side effects.

I take Madopar 125/25 4 times a day and it works for me. Not much else i can say.
